About this run
Purple Preemie Run 2026 is a global awareness run bringing together runners, families, medical professionals, caregivers, and communities to raise awareness about premature birth, neonatal care, and the realities faced by families with a preterm baby. Presented by Little Fern Neonatology Services, with race management and strategy by Abunduntia, the event will take place on Sunday, 15 November 2026, with an on-ground run in Thane alongside a virtual run. Purple is recognised worldwide as a colour associated with premature birth awareness. Through this run, participants come together to show support for babies born too soon, parents who spend days and nights beside a NICU cot, and the doctors, nurses, and caregivers caring for the smallest patients. Whether you are an experienced runner aiming for a 10K finish, taking part in your first 5K, bringing your children for a 2K walk, or joining virtually from another part of the world, there is a place for you.
