I.K.A. Sports and Events, a company promoted by IRONMAN Athlete Kapil Arora, presents the Patnitop Marathon – India's Most Beautiful Hill Race.

Patnitop is a popular hilltop tourist location in Udhampur, situated on a plateau in the Shivalik belt of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2024 metres. The river Chenab flows in close proximity. It comprises several meadows enveloped by thick forests of Deodar (Cedar) and Kail (Blue Pine) trees, offering peaceful walks, enjoyable picnics, and breathtaking views of the Chenab basin and the Pir Panjal range. For solace, one can visit the beautifully located Nag Mandir at Karlah village.

• Competitive Races: 100km, 75km, 50km, 21.1km Half Marathon, 10km, 5km

• Minimum Age Requirements:

  • 10 years or older for 10km and 5km competitive races.
  • 18 years or older for 100km, 75km, 50km, 21.1km Half Marathon.

• Age-wise Race Categories (Male and Female):

  • 18 - Under 35 Years
  • 35 - Under 45 Years
  • 45 - Under 55 Years
  • 55 - Under 65 Years
  • 65++

Race Timings & Cut-offs

• 100Km Ultra Marathon:
  • Starts at: 12:00 AM
  • Cut-off: 20 hours
• 75Km Ultra Marathon:
  • Starts at: (Time not specified in description)
  • Cut-off: 15 hours
• 50Km Ultra Marathon:
  • Starts at: 5:30 AM
  • Cut-off: 10 hours
• Half Marathon 21.1Km:
  • Starts at: 06:30 AM
  • Cut-off: 4 hours
• 10Km Timed Run:
  • Starts at: 06:45 AM
  • Cut-off: 2 hours
• 5Km Timed Run:
  • Starts at: 7:00 AM
  • Cut-off: 1.5 hours

Race Day Guidelines

• No spot registration is allowed.
• Please wear your BIB while entering the venue.
• Any participant without a valid BIB number will not be allowed.
• Hydration will be provided at the venue.
• Please ensure that you are fit to run on race day.
• An ambulance and paramedical team will be available for the security and safety of all participants.
• Volunteers will be available for general guidance.

Mandatory Gear – 100K & 75K Ultra Marathon

For your safety, all participants in the 100K and 75K Ultra Marathon must carry the following items throughout the race:

• Hydration Vest/Backpack with a minimum carrying capacity of 1.5 litres
• Mobile Phone (fully charged)
• Headlamp/Torch with spare batteries or backup light source
• Whistle
• Waterproof/Windproof Jacket
• Emergency Survival Blanket
• Personal Nutrition (gels, bars, electrolytes, etc.) sufficient between aid stations

Race officials reserve the right to inspect mandatory gear before and during the event. Participants found without the required equipment may be penalized or disqualified. Depending on weather conditions, the Race Director may announce additional mandatory gear up to 48 hours before race day.

Disqualification Rules

The Patnitop Marathon 2027 adheres to strict guidelines. Non-adherence to the below-mentioned can lead to participants' disqualification:

• Impersonation, running with BIBs under which they are not registered.
• Proxy Running, i.e., running with more than one BIB (BIB mules).
• False Entries, submitting wrong data, especially concerning Date of Birth.
• Deviating and cutting the course.
• Has been disqualified by other Event Organizers in India or National and International Bodies.

Registrants found violating any of the above will be disqualified.
