About the Event
Jotiba Dakkhan Hill Half Marathon 2026 - Edition 6 will take place at the Jotiba Temple, a holy shrine of Lord Kedarnath. The temple is ensconced on a hill at a height of 3124 feet above sea level, 18 km to the north-west of Kolhapur city. Known as ‘The King of the Deccan’, Jotiba draws devotees in huge numbers throughout the year.
The scenic route features greenery all around, with wide and clean roads. Runners will start from the temple area and make their way through the curvy route. This will be the first sports event of its kind happening at this place on a Sunday, with the tradition of smearing ‘gulal’ (pink coloured sacred powder) turning the whole mountain into a beautiful pink.
We believe this event will go a long way in further promoting running in this place and encourage a fit and healthy lifestyle. ज्योतिबाच्या नावानं चांगभलं !!!
