About the Event
"Support us to build athletes from underprivileged rural and remote areas" - This is the motto of Garware Wai Half Marathon (WHM).
This is the 7th edition of WHM, building on the successful 6 previous editions. The focus is to provide a great experience to participants and encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
The Garware WHM is organized by Team Wai Marathon, a nonprofit organization formed by players and enthusiastic people from Wai. Their main aim is to support underprivileged athletes, especially those from rural and remote areas across India, and to visualize health awareness among the entire community to build a healthy nation.
Why Run With Us?
- Scenic Route: The route is gifted with natural greenery and hilly surroundings. It has the feel of ancient Wai, runs along the Krishna River, and offers a great view of Dhom Dam and the surrounding hills.
- Support a Cause: Your charity would be used to build athletes from underprivileged rural and remote areas. MAF has been working on this target for the last 15 years, having built 4 international, 50 national, and more than 200 state players from rural and remote areas.
